2018 – Photography by FlameWriter except portrait by Susan Stafford
Installation produced as part of the annual Tarkine In Motion event by the Bob Brown Foundation.
This artwork was installed in a logging coup in the Tarkine near Frankiln River, North West Tasmania.
This aera was logged to create the loading docks to allow the whole area to be clearfelled and napalmed.
This process has been stalled by the community blockade stopping trucks entering the area.
When the senseless logging ceases, the chainsaw becomes a benign artifact, no longer a weapon of ecocide or a symbol of the stupidity of man and his systems.
