Flappy, the giant magpie, stands 6 metres above the ground, with its massive wingspan outstretched in brilliant metallic gold and chrome.
The installation is a giant puppet, with a see-saw that you ride to animate its wings and heads. This takes interactive and kinetic art to a new level, while having some good old fashioned fun.
The feature see-saw is adorned with plush red low–rider bikes, with large red LEDs under each seat, making them glow like futuristic motors.
Each of flappy’s four feet will feature an ADJ Stinger II disco light rig, creating a chaotic and dramatic light show below, and surrounding the installation.
